An unexpected visitor.

Corona was sitting at home, listening to some good oldies, when there was a rampant knocking on the intercom. She got up, turned down her music, and went over to see what the commotion was. After turning on the camera, she saw a part-breed female, part dog to be exact, and instantly, silently, cursed her luck.
"Who are you?" Corona asked the part-dog.
"I don't think that really matters when I'm being chased!" Corona didn't like the sound of this. A part dog, being chased, knocking at her door. Usually the dogs were good.
"What did you do?"
"I don't know! Some people in chain armor just up and attacked me and my friends! I'm lucky to have escaped alive!"
"...What? Seriously?"
"Seriously!"
"Fine... I'll let you in." Corona opened the front gate for the part dog, disabling the shielding while she did so, and closed it and put the shield back up as soon as she was through. Corona opened her front door, and the part dog walked calmly over to her, head held low. "You're serious about this? Really?"
"Yes, I promise. We have to tell someone in power!"
"Did you see where they came from?" Corona didn't completely believe her yet.
"Yeah, the forest by highway 142." She still seemed a little hysterical.
"You ran all that way?!"
"Well, I hitchhiked with some nice people..." Corona sighed. "You have to believe me."
"Why's that?" Corona looked at the part dog like she'd throw her back out.
"Because I'm telling the truth. They killed my friends!"
"Alright... let's get the police on this. C'mon." Corona led the part dog inside, and called 911, then handed the phone to the dog.

The canine girl whined several times while giving her explanation and details when she was prompted, and she was told that there would be a team sent to investigate, and they would be armed and trained to deal with any problems they might encounter. She was slightly relieved to ear this, and asked to be given notice should anything further be done or discovered. She ran her paws nervously through her hair, and would look around at unexpected sounds in the distance, but she managed to keep herself from breaking down. Although, honestly, that was probably at least partly due to the more prominent feelings of fear and anxiety. When she had done, she passed on what she had been told to Corona, thanked her for the call and letting her in, and asked if she could stay a while until it was safer.

Corona sighed again at the request. A part cat letting a part dog stay at her house? Natural selection wasn't on her side. "Alright, alright. If the police are willing to believe it, I'll believe it. I'm not sure if I have food you like right now, though." She turned her oldies up a little. "I've already been making cottage roll for supper today, so I'd like to know what you want, if not that. You can have the bedroom, by the way."
"You know, hotdogs sound good to me for lunch right now..."
"Er, whoops. I ate the last of 'em for breakfast."
"...what? Hotdogs for breakfast?" Obviously she hadn't been a dog for too long.
"What's wrong with that? It's food."
"Yeah, it's food, but not breakfast."
"Just for that I'm microwaving you some pancakes."

*The doorbell rings. This plays from the ring. (if not working, try this) The doorbell is programed to play different songs depending on who presses the button.*
"Oh! It must be Aurora!"
"Aurora? Who's that?"
*Corona opens the door. Aurora is there, in her usual Navy Blue dress. She has a custom-made assault rifle slung over one shoulder and a wound in her left leg.*
"Gah, help."
*Aurora nearly falls into Corona.*
"Whoa, careful! I just cleaned this dress! Now what in the hell just happened to you?"
"Dammit, it hurts."
*Corona leads Aurora to the couch. She quickly gets her first-aid kit, and starts patching up Aurora's leg.*
"Now, I'll ask again, what the hell happened?"
"Apparently some of those chained people saw your friend go in your house. They were ready to break down the door before I rained bullets on them. Strangely enough, with the kind of armor it looked like they were wearing, it should have taken one bullet to kill them. They were only injured. One of them actually was able to get close and slash at me, and then they just decided to retreat."
"Oh no... they're after me!" *the canine girl goes into a state of panic again*
"They're all gone now. Calm down. Hopefully there aren't any more, as I'm in no condition to protect much of anyone like this. I imagine Corona already informed the... DAMMIT! THAT FREAKING HURT!"
"Sorry! Hold still..."
*Corona finishes bandaging Aurora.*
"Bah, I'll need to call in the shop and tell them I'm not gonna make it today. Hand me the phone."
*Corona hands Aurora the phone, and she calls The Armory, and explains the situation, and to alert everyone of the bad people with chain mails and the like. Aurora hangs up the phone, then drifts off into sleep.*
